The Givers featuring Ra Ra Riot.

So last night I was supposed to go see Ra Ra Riot with Mrs Chops and Cleo. Mrs Chops bailed as she "had already seen them once". And as much as I enjoy Cleos company I did not think a date with her and I would be entirely appropriate. So we brought a mutual friend who I will refer to as "Sam" and off we went to The Warehouse in downtown Houston.

To be perfectly frank I was not as excited about the show as I had hoped I would be. The new Ra Ra Riot album, The Orchard, while quite pleasant, is something of a let down after Rhumb Line. But Cleo and Sam were turning out to be very enjoyable company and I was determined to have a good time.

The opening band took the stage and introduced themselves as The Givers from Lafayette LA and then proceeded to absolutely and throughly kick. @#!*% . I am truly at a loss for words to describe how completely these guys rocked. I did not know their names and I had never heard them before but no more than 45 sec into the first song I was jumping up and down and smiling uncontrollably. The young lady front and center, (whom I would later learn was Tif Lamson) was singing, playing Ukele, drums, tambourine and most dramatically the xylophone. It may have been a glockenspiel. I am not as au courant with the subtleties of percussive instruments as I would like. Either way, Tif walked up to it, berated it and then took it back and gave it the thrashing of its like. She played that thing like her only child's life depended on her maintaining an output of 120 decibels or more. She wailed on it like it had just stabbed her dog. And she did it with a smile.

I cant even accurately recall how many songs they played or how long their set lasted. Their songs blended toghether and had a very cohesive feel. I do know that I loved every minute of it and was sad when they left the stage. They played with such unabashed joy and enthusiasm that it was impossible to not be infected. I have an equally hard time describing their music. At the time it felt very basic, strong drum rhythms being thumped out by no less than three band members. But as they progressed they layered in some electro-funk and then what sounded like jazz. I couldn't even tell where all the sounds were coming from at some points.

Here is their "Studio" version of Up Up Up. Please, PLEASE dont judge them based on this one. It does NOT convey the majesty of their live show..

This is the only video I could find that gives an accurate depiction of what it felt like to be there.

"Saw you first" from eliot brasseaux on Vimeo.

Eventually The Givers had to go and they did. Next up were The Villagers. The seemed very sincere but... meh. I actually felt kind of bad for the lads. Their music was perfectly fine, it just.. I don't know. After The Givers anything would have been a let down I think. This is from his MySpace page.

"Villagers’ began life as a nameless collection of musical poems, all under the pen of one Conor J. O’Brien. “Ultimately, I’ve learned that a song is not an isolated thing. You have to wash the dishes before you write a song. It should never be taken too seriously. It must be treated with joy and humour, regardless of the subject matter,” muses Conor, as he strokes his hairless chin."

Decide for yourself.

Finally Ra Ra Riot took the stage. They were stellar. unfortunately for me, my advanced age had betrayed itself and my eardrums had almost completely failed at this point. I was unable to discern most of the nuances of the songs that Ra Ra Riot played as most sounds had been reduced to a loud buzzing. However, I was a mere 4 feet from the luminous Rebecca Zeller. All was well.

Probably shouldnt admit this...

We have a vendor that we use at work that consistently has the best hold music I have ever heard. The other day I was stuck for like 20 mins and this came on. When I hear something I like I usually just google a phrase of the lyrics and pull it up. But this time I couldn't quite make out enough of it to find it. Luckily I had my new phone and used Shazam and it pulled it right up. I read the lyrics, listened to it a couple times and then did a little research on the artist, Kate Earl. I was all ready to do a post and share the magic with y'all. Then I got home and looked the song up on YouTube to find a video to share. That was three weeks ago.

The ONLY videos of this song all have clips or stills of some stupid show or movie called Vampire Diaries. I have never heard of it but it looks disturbingly similar to those books Cleo is always reading. I just couldn't bring myself to post a video that cheesetacular. So I kept looking and found this one....

While I liked this video quite a bit more, I'm pretty sure I saw some nipple action right around the :49 sec mark and I'm pretty sure Mrs Chops would not approve.

So this is the one "safe" video.. But I dont really like this song as much as the other two.

Now that I think about it I probably should have put that one first....

Oh well.

Big Hair, Big Voices

You know what I really miss sometimes? Really cheesy songs. Not just kinda sappy, I mean CHEESY. I mean, 3 cans of Aquanet, smoke machine, over the top giant cheddar wheel songs.

Mrs Chops and I were watching Glee last night and the episode ended with a rendition of "Total Eclipse of the Heart". Man I love that song. It was enormous. And I am hard pressed to think of a modern band that makes giant songs like that anymore. Sure they talk about feelings and sex and what not, but is thier love gonna last till the end of time? Is it like living in a powder keg and they're givin off sparks? I dont think so.
So heres you assignment, gimme your favorite Monster Ballad. I dont care if its old or new, it just has to be huge

Ra Ra Update

Hey y'all, just a heads up, cause I know you been wondering. Ra Ra Riot is finishing up their second album with a release date in the near future. Check out an interview with them and a clip of one of their new songs at Stereogum.

Also, if your in H-town in the near future you can check them out at the Free Press Summer Fest on June 5th. Cleo said she would buy tickets for anyone who came down to see them. Also, she said you could stay in her game room. She has a tent.

Just sayin...

Also, if you get bored, go back and re-read our review of their last show in Houston.

Manly? I'll give ya Manly!

This is Dr Dog. Five dudes from Philly, 3 of whom have suberb beards, and one of whom has what? Hell yeah, chops.

Ok, I dont even know how old this picture is or if their current facial hair matches that found in the photo. But the point remains the same. Manly. Try and deny it.

Anywho.. like I said, five dudes from Philadelphia doin old school rock. I dig it. Some of their stuff was less than bueno but I still dig their sound. They have been playing together for about 6 yrs now. Check em out.

This is a cover of a song by Architecture in Helinski, which in my opinion is far better than the original.

Oh yeah, also this.....

Because, well.. cause..

Well to be honest cause cute French chick in short shorts. Is there a better reason?

An Open Question

I want your opinion on something. Watch both of these videos real quick...

In theory they are very similar. Two groups of young folks making music in their native environment. Both bands heavy on the vocals, guitar driven pop/folk/rock. Even the video styles are quite derivative of each other. And yet I completly adore Pamplamoose and Nataly Dawn and Monsters of Folk bore the snot out of me. Its not a bad song. Musically its very well done, the gentlemen featured all seem very proficient on their instruments of choice. They sing well, and yet I dislike it.

Please, tell my why you think that is. Or why I'm wrong. Either one, you get to pick.

Taking back Manly

Thanks a lot Cleo. My little sister emailed me yesterday for the first time in a long time. This, along with a link to your post on Nataly Dawn, is the entire text of her email.

"I was looking at the blog today. I really like her. You haven't posted in a while."

That was followed by another email about an hour later..

"O.K I think i might be obsessing a little but I love everything I have heard so far. When was the last time you looked at your blog??"

So now I feel bad. Have I really been so neglectful that my own sister had to call me out? If so I am sorry.

This song was stuck in my head for almost a week. I'm not even sure where I heard it but it just kept repeating..

I change shapes just to hide in this place but I'm still, I'm still an animal
Nobody knows it but me when I slip yeah I slip
I'm still an animal

I just kept playing that line over and over and over for days. I finally found time to sit down and hunt it down. It was well worth it

There was a time when my world was filled with darkness, darkness, darkness
And I stopped dreaming now
I'm supposed to fill it up with something, something , something
In your eyes I see the eyes of somebody I knew before long long long ago
But I'm still trying to make my mind up
Am I free or am I tied up

I change shapes just to hide in this place but I'm still, I'm still an animal
Nobody knows it but me when I slip yeah I slip
I'm still an animal

There is a hole and I tried to fill up with money, money , money
But it gets bigger to your hopes is always

Running,running,running

In your eyes I see the eyes of somebody of who could be strong
Tell me if I'm wrong

And now I'm pulling your disguise up
Are you free or are you tied up

I change shapes just to hide in this place but I'm still I'm still an animal
Nobody knows it but me when I slip
I'm still an animal

I change shapes just to hide in this place
But I'm still I'm still an animal
Nobody knows it but me when I slip, yeah I slip
I'm still an animal

I hope you liked at least one of these Mels...

Stuck in 1984

My oldest sisters's mother, my dad's first wife, died giving birth to my sister. My dad remarried my mother a few years later and went on to have 7 more kids with my mother. My parents treated us all equally when we were growing up but my paternal grandmother always had a soft spot for my oldest sister. I never minded as a kid. I thought she was pretty special too. She was the oldest and the coolest of us by far.

So what does that have to do with music? My sister was into music. She was the coolest person I knew. So logically all cool people were into music. She was the only one with a cassette player and my Grandma would buy her cassettes so if we wanted to listen to music, we listened to hers. I didn't mind. I loved it when she shared her music with us. Her friends would come over and sit and listen and hang out. Luckily for me, most of her friends were girls and they thought I was adorable so they let me hang around with them while they braided my hair. (Shut up, I was 11 and pretty girls wanted to play with my hair. Like I was gonna say no). When I turned 11 my Grandma bought me a radio and I would stick it under my pillow and go to sleep listening to the Dr Demento show and trying to figure out which songs my sister's friends would think were cool.

Every month my Grandma would take the "Older Kids" out to something together. At the time that meant my oldest sister, Christy, my brother Mike and me. She would take the three of us out to dinner, maybe a movie, or my favorite, goofy golfing. The place called Castles and Coasters. It was just a miniature golf course with an indoor video arcade but it was COOL. The main building was a giant castle with 4 stories of arcade games. All the cool older kids went there every weekend to just hang out and be seen. We were pretty poor so going anywhere was a big deal to me, but to hang out with my sister and brother without all the rest of the little kids made me feel pretty special. And there, walking around with my sister and brother, the coolest people I knew, away from the chaos of our house, is where I felt the happiest. One of the happiest memory of my entire childhood is standing underneath the lights on the ninth hole at Castles and Coasters on a warm summer night with the coolest people in the world and something by Culture Club or Thompson Twins or The Cars or Bananarama or Laura Branigan playing over the loudspeakers. So thats the kind of music I like. The kind that reminds me even a little bit of what it felt like to belong and be happy and feel young

My musical tastes were set in stone back in 1984. I cant help it. They evolved a tiny bit over the years. But I still like best those songs that remind me the most of what I loved first.

Manly Music (or) Songs Cleo Will Most Likely Hate

I'm done! I got through it! Whoo hooooooooo!!\

Every year the guys in my office rotate which Holiday we get to take off. One year half of us get Christmas off, the other half get Thanksgiving. That way no one is stuck at the office with an unreasonable burden. Except this year. THIS year, they decided..

"You know what, Chops is a pretty smart guy. I bet he could handle it if we all left him here by himself."

"I totally agree, I dont even think we need to bother asking him. I bet if we just all plan on taking the time off, he'll be fine as long as we tell him at the last minute."

"It's agreed then, Chops will handle everything while we all leave for Colorado!"

"Hey Chops! Your on your own this year! Dont call and ask for help, we'll be on the slopes!"

So I've been a little stressed out lately. But now I'm done. Everyone is coming back on Monday and the office is closed tomorrow. But it has been a harrowing week or two. During the week, after everyone had left for the day and I was alone in the office I started to break out my Blackberry and put on Pandora for the last couple of hours of data entry to help me relax. And she did not fail me. The following are a couple of my favorites that have popped up in the last couple of days that really helped keep me from plucking all my eyelashes out in frustration at the sheer volume of work I had to do.

So Cleo, hate all you want. When I needed it, these guys came through. I know, I know.... Its sleepy, and slow. But when all three lines on your phone are busy, you have hundreds of unanswered emails and you dont know what task to try and tackle next, it helps to have something to unwind to.

This is How I'm Feeling

Well, I have 119 unanswered emails in my inbox and 6 "Urgent" voicemails but Imogen Heap, Ginger and Cleo just convinced me to unplug. I listened to "Hide and Seek" 5 times straight and I can finally breathe again. Thanks Ginger, I should have sat down and listened to that a LONG time ago. I really mean it, thanks. I have been a crappy friend and I'm sorry. I'll try and do better. And thanks for not lettin me slip away.

I dont have much time to find anything deep or new, my commutes have been filled with phone calls and texts instead of Pandora's sweet, sweet musical nectar.

So all I can do is say I'm sorry again. And give you something that I hope you dont already have.

Try and overlook Mick's fantastically British dental work and enjoy.

Now turn it up... WAY up....

And once more, I'm sorry, and thanks for being better friends to me than I have been to you.

Manly Music featuring Titus Andronicus

I swear this is not a joke. Nor is it intended to be ironic. I honestly REALLY like these guys. I know, I know.. theres no fluff, no lilting voices and no purty mouthes. But I LIKE it.

Pandora found em for me while I was doin data entry last night at work and it completely ruined my night. I was supposed to be slogging away but after they came on I couldnt concentrate and spent the last 30 minutes of work scouring the interwebs for everything I could find on them. And then I found their blog.. and I knew I was done working for a while. The lyricist/vocalist, Patrick Stickles wrote this about a show they performed on Halloween. Its long, but worth it. Go ahead and click the link and then come back. Go ahead, I'll wait here...

Tell me that was not freakin. He. Larry. Ass. What struck me the most was the juxtaposition of his obvious intellect exhibited in the telling of his all hallows eve and the raw, primal, simple energy in his music and lyrics. I think Patrick himself described this himself when he was asked by "www.Exclaim.ca" about the origin of their name.

As far as the name is concerned, it started out just as a cool-sounding name. I have found that when a person wants to be in a band, he or she spends a lot of time accumulating a mental file of words or phrases that would be cool band names. Titus Andronicus was, to my mind, the best one that I’d come across. As we came to cultivate our aesthetic a little more, and understand more about the play, it became more and more appropriate. Shakespeare obviously is a very classy entity, more or less the pinnacle of human achievement and excellence. At the same time, The Most Lamentable Romaine Tragedy of Titus Andronicus is not really all that far removed from, say, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre so it was an odd contradiction in the literary world – basically a generic slasher flick that happens to be the work of the greatest mind that ever walked the planet. That seemed like the kind of line that I wanted our band to straddle; that line between the more cerebral, thoughtful elements of the human condition and the part of us that just wants to see blood and brutality. If Titus Andronicus the play could have both those, I wanted Titus Andronicus the band to have them too.

Doesnt that just rock!?! I mean, come on! The rest of the interview is just as interesting and can be found here..

I know what you ladies are going to say...

"But Chops, their hair is unkempt, their faces are quite dirty and their clothing is in dire need of repair. We thought these were qualities you found deeply offensive?"

You are correct in theory. However, I forgive them for the same reason I overlooked these flaws in such gentlemen as Gordon Gano and Douglas Colvin. Because they kick ass. And as I have stated before, asskickness trumps just about everything else.

I leave you with an excerpt from their Myspace page.

Titus Andronicus sometimes disagree on what is the right thing to do. Titus Andronicus like to scream and carry on at excessive volume. Titus Andronicus like songs which are fast more than songs which are slow. Titus Andronicus think slow songs are okay sometimes. Titus Andronicus never sing about love, only hate. Titus Andronicus have no hope for the future. Titus Andronicus believe only in nothingness. Everyone in Titus Andronicus was born to die. Titus Andronicus crave your approval but will settle for your utter disdain. Above all else, Titus Andronicus want to sleep on your floor.

Gentleman, if you are out there, and if you can hear this, I have abundant floor space and you are welcome to it. Just give me enough notice to hide the small children.

Manly Music Monday

I have a great boss. He and I talk about music all the time and he always seems to be about 2 1/2 steps ahead of me when it come to new stuff. Not only does he hear about stuff before I do but his taste in music is impecable. I like the stuff he recommends about 99.42% of the time. Those are good odds. Last week he told me to check out Owl City's new song, Fireflies and Julian Casablancas' newest release. I did, and I liked them both quite a bit. I was even planning on doing a post on Owl City. But then a relative for whom I feel nothing but disdain posted a gushing review for the very tune I intended to post. And because I'm immature and shallow I cant like something that someone I dont like likes. So you get no Fireflies. Which left me with Julian Casablancas. He is the front man for The Strokes. Here is his first solo single.

Not bad. Pretty good actually, right?

Then I found this as well.

What is wrong with that kid? Does he live in a hostel? Or an alley? Did his mother not teach him proper hygiene? And why does he seem so grumpy? He's getting paid gazillions of dollars to do what he LOVES and thats the attitude hes got?

So that got me thinking back to the good ole days. Sure, we had to put up with douchebags like Robert Smith and Morrissey but in return we got guys like David Byrne. Now there was a polite modern gentleman. Just look at his haircut.

And what a great outlook on life. I mean, sure, life is basically is a road to nowhere, but it's alright.

All the creativity and uniqueness with none of the sass and nasty personal hygiene. Ah.... those were the days.

Crap I'm old.

Manly Music Monday

I think I've told y'all about The Format before... pretty sure at least. Anywho, doesn't matter now cause they broke up (heartless bastards). But hope springs anew! Nate Ruess formed Fun. last year and released their first album on the 25th. And it kicks ass. Not just some ass, every ass within a 14 county radius. And every ass that has the misfortune of wondering within aforementioned radius. It is that good. Admittedly I am biased. I had a huge man crush on The Format and was quite sad when they went downhill. But Aim and Ignite is significantly more mature and, I believe, a better album than anything The Format did. Nate's previous work, while splendid, was somewhat one dimensional. Again, I was very fond of that dimension, but this album is so much more complex and robust it is astonishing. Nate and his new cohorts, Andrew Dost and Jack Antonoff weave so many sounds and moods into their songs that if it wasn't for the cohesiveness of Nate lyrics and voice the album would seem scattered. Some of the songs feel very throw back, some as far back as the 60's and some only back to the 80's, but thru it all the trio keeps it sounding contemporary and.. well.. fun. In any case, I'll shut up now and let you listen. They self released this album so we probably wont be getting any videos any time soon, so you get still images with the music. Keep in mind as well that to avoid Cleo coming over and killing me while I sleep I only included a few songs. These are not my favorites. Well, they are when I picked them but there is not a single song on the album I don't love so please, PLEASE, go give Nate a leg up and buy the bad boy on iTunes and listen to the whole thing start to finish. I promise you wont be disappointed. Well, you may be. I'm not psychic. But you probably wont be disappointed. Unless you don't like good music, then you might be. But that's not my fault and I cant be held responsible for you lack of taste.

Manly Music or Manly Music.. Monday

So Cleo broke her computer (for like the 3rd time) and came over last night for me to save her music collection and put it on her new IPod. Which is why this is late, so blame her. Also, the argument we got into is why you get extra music today so I guess it's a toss up as to whether you get mad at her or not. I don't care either way. (did ya see that? Indifference, very manly.) Anywho, I was gonna do a post on Essex Green, one of my new favorites. They have been around since '99 but didn't really start to get any play till '06 after they released their third album, Cannibal Sea. They have kinda a throw back sound that's reminiscent of some of the folk stuff from the '60s and '70s. And I dig it.

(Editors note: the original video that I posted was removed by Youtube, this is a replacement.)

Unfortunately, that is the only song I could find that would allow embedding. But some dude named "Nemesiskx" has taken the time to put almost everything Essex Green has on done on YouTube. So go check it out.

And that was all I had planned for today. But then as Cleo was looking at all the great new music she had on her IPod last night (she got all of my music plus hers) she gets all whiny and was all "Andrew WK? What the hell is Andrew WK ?" Never mind the fact that I had just hooked her up with gobs of tunes where she previously had none, she had NEVER HEARD OF ANDREW WK! I mean, sure he's old news, and kinda comes off as sorta a douchebag in his videos, but his music R O C K S. Andrew is a classically trained pianist who was in more than 12 bands from 1993 to 2000. In 2001 he released "I Get Wet" which proceeded to blow. the. hell. up. Songs from it were featured on several movies, countless commercials, numerous video games. And yet somehow little Mrs Cleo remained ignorant of his existence. So I filled her in and played a couple tracks for her. And guess what, she liked it. AND she thought it was manly. If I recall correctly, she said "More manly than anything you've ever posted.".....

So I leave it to you to decide. Which is more manly, stomping around in a dirty old shirt with greasy hair or.. me?

Wussy Music Monday

It's official ladies. I give up. I'm done done. I give in. I succumb.

I like wussy bands. I like floofy music. The bubblier the better.

There, I said it. Happy? I thought that by calling my posts "Manly Music Monday" I could get the world to see that "Manly" could mean lots of things but apparently I was wrong. So from here on out I unleash my inner wuss on the world with no apologies.

And with that I present to you "Donora"

I had a tough time finding much about them on the web. Most of the links on their Myspace site are dead and everything else just seems to be direct quotes of the little blurb from their "bio" section. What little I found was from local papers doing stories on them. From what I could find it seems that Donora is Jake and Casey Hanner on vocals and drums with Jake Churton on bass. Jake and Casey grew up in Pennsylvania surrounded by music as their dad, Dave Hanner was a country/western musician for most of their lives. Casey said of her musical upbringing, ""My best friend growing up, her dad was also a musician," says Casey, "so I'd just be back and forth between these houses, and the dads would be home all day working in their studios, recording music." Donora has only been around for a few years but they sound well polished and have obviously benefited from their childhood exposure. But despite their polish Casey seems to retain a nice innocence. She almost seems like a 10 year old that just picked up her dads guitar and is just happy to be making music. She seems genuinely excited about singing and being in a band. The songs all sound well produced and very well performed. The only thing I didn't care for was the whispery part in "Shh", but I'll even forgive that for the catchy, poppy guitar and lovely melody. So anywho.. check em out. Tell me what you think.

Unless your just gonna tell me what a tender soul I am.

Plus Casey's got a pretty mouth.

Manly Music Monday

I have kissed a lot of girls. Bunchs. Like, in the hundreds probably. I really enjoy kissing. It stared in the 4th grade. I was "going steady" with Nadia. A thick girl in Mrs. Henderson's class. I think she was of Russian descent. She had a haircut just like Mary Lou Retton. Anywho, one day I was out in the front yard putting the Pennysavers on my bike in preparation for my route when Nadia showed up with a gaggle (I think girls travel in gaggles) of girls. The lead girl pushed Nadia towards me and said "Nadia says you haven't kissed her yet." This was true. The thought of kissing Nadia scared me and made my still developing testes retreat into my skinny white boy abdomen. I tried to ignore them for a while but they just stood there in a line on the sidewalk staring at me. And Nadia was just standing there in the no mans land between me and the sidewalk looking sad. I kept racking my brain trying to think of a cool way to get out of kissing her for what seemed like hours. I came up blank. So I did the only thing a respectable 4th grader could do. I dropped my Pennysavers, walked up to her, grabbed her, threw her over my knee and planted one on her a la Clark Gable, which was the only kiss I could visualize at the time. When I let her up she looked completely dumbfounded. I looked at her gaggle (that still doesn't seem right..) and they looked as stupefied as Nadia did. But then they all smiled at me, Nadia walked over to them and they all left. I was a hero. Word of my smooching prowess traveled quickly and soon I was the kissing king. And it didn't stop in grade school.

In high school I was kinda even more of a mouth slut. That's what the girls told each other. And what they told me after I kissed them. The funny thing is I would meet some girl, flirt with her for a few days at school and some girl she knew who knew some girl I knew who knew a girl I had made out with would tell her what a player I was. They would almost always ask me about it. I even had a whole speech worked up.

"Suzie says you kiss a lot of girls"

"That's true, I do."

"Why?"

"I like to kiss, I think people should kiss more often. If I had my way we would kiss each other hello. To me its my way of telling a girl that I think shes pretty and that I like being around them. It's not a big deal"

And then they would get this look in their eye. They knew I was full of crap but they were curious. 90% of the time they would make out with me within 48hrs. And I never had an unsatisfied customer. I was an amazing kisser. I knew what girls liked and what they didn't. I could tell just by looking at a girls mouth what kind of kisser she would be. I loved teaching girls new things to do with their lips.

Then I met the future Mrs Chops. I had just gotten back from my mission in France so I was kinda out of practice. The first time I saw her I was absolutely mesmerized by her mouth. It was small but pouty. And I knew I wanted to kiss it.

When I was in High School I went on maybe 2 dates in 4 yrs which did not end up in a kiss. But the first time out with Mrs Chops I was too scared. And the second time. And the third. But the fourth time we went out we ended up back at her place and she broke out her guitar to play some "Jewel" for me. She played "Hands" and as she was playing I couldnt take my eyes off of her mouth. I was moving in delicous ways and I wanted to taste it so bad. She finished singing and I just stared at her for a second. Then I asked.

"Can I kiss you"

"What kind?"

Oh crap. I had been gone for two years and all of a sudden there were "kinds". Dangit.

"I.. I dont know... What do you mean?"

"Regular or foriegn?"

"Umm... regular?"

And then she kissed me.

Best. Kiss. Ever.

Bar none. And I knew I loved her. And that I would never kiss anyone else again. And I was totally happy with that.

And so I give you songs that make me think of making out with Mrs Chops. Because 12 years later very little in this world makes me happier than being kissed by Mrs Chops.
