The Killers lead singer Brandon Flowers is reportedly feuding with his drummer, Ronnie Vannucci. Tensions between the band mates have supposedly become so volatile that Brandon has considered attacking Ronnie midway through a show.
This kind of feuding is not new to rock and roll bands. In 1983, the lead singer and drummer of The Police, had a physical fight on tour that resulted in a broken rib for Sting.
When questioned about the alleged feud, Flowers stated: "I felt our unit was strong. But every now and then I do have a Sting fantasy where I want to jump over the drums."
When asked why he has taken a dislike to his band mate, Brandon said: "Why would I want to do that? It's something only I and our drummer can know."
Most of us would agree that if we spend too much time with another person, they can get on our nerves. Perhaps these boys just need to retreat to their own corners until they cool off.
The good news is that they have a very short break before they head over to Europe for another leg of their "Day and Age" World Tour. Maybe they'll be able to relax a bit.
Also, we must remember that Brandon Flowers' words are frequently twisted and made into bigger issues than he intends. Concerning this, he has said “People say I am a drama queen, a careerist and have a big ego. But they are so wrong. They’re trying to get something exciting out of something and someone who is just very boring.”
So I guess time will tell how much truth there is to his latest alleged duel.
Upon further research, I have discovered that, as I suspected, and further, hinted at... this is an entirely false story created by The Sun (a tabloid in the UK). All is well in my world. As I knew it would be.
