Thursday's Throwback

In my opinion, one of the greatest under rated bands of all time. Danny Elfman can be a little creepy at times, but can't we all. He says that many of their songs are about the dead, but this one is about wanting to stay alive.

"If you throw away your life, the world will never be the same. Don't you know; that everyone around you has felt the pain you feel today." That's poetry right there. You are not alone in the world, and it wouldn't be the same without you. No matter how insignificant you may feel your contribution to it is.

It just feels wrong posting this song right above Informer. I guess that can't really be classified as an actual song, per se, but still-It ain't right.

Definitely underrated.

I love Boingo! They are so freaking amazing. Too bad more people don't see how great they are. Danny Elfman is one of the most talented musicians ever.

Oh hell yeah! Thats what I'm talking about! When I was a freshman in High School I walked 4 miles to school each way and "Only a Lad" was one of my most prized possessions. I literally wore that thing out from use.

"His teachers didnt understand
They kicked him out of school
At a tender early age
Just because he didnt want to learn things
(had other interests)
He liked to burn things"

I burned the field at our Junior High. Twice. I honestly don't remember if I liked fire because of Oingo Boingo or vice versa. Either way you brought back some great memories with that song. And for that I salute you. Well done my lady. Well done.

This is one of my favorite Boingo songs. Danny Elfman's voice can be damn sexy. I said it- damn sexy.
