So lately it has come to my attention that well...I like Irish people...especially the men folk. It all started when I was about 4 years old and had my very first ever bowl of Lucky Charms. Lucky and my eyes met and I have never been the same. They were, indeed, magically delicious. And basically I've been hooked ever since. I'm sure it's the accent. I'm a sucker for a sweet Irish accent. What really pushes me over the edge is the way Gary Lightbody makes the "er" sound. As in "the broken radiat..or" or "mapped by my intrepid fing..ers". Yep...Squish in the stomach, never fails.
Anyway...the point of this post is to give props to some of my favorite Irish bands. Now, don't get all upset if your favorite isn't here, maybe next time.
First up...of course...my Gary.

Ginger, I would disagree with the opinions stated in this posting. I would politely contend that groups from Scotland are superior to those originating in Ireland.
Thats what Mrs. Chops made me write. But she just left. This is what I think.
Irish!? IRISH?!? Ohhh.. it is so on Ginger. You have no conception of the can of whoop ass you have just opened young lady. Irish?! I hereby challenge you to a.. uh.. a, a Counrtyoff. Yeah! A Countryoff! and if the Geriatric fellows from Dublin, that "Boy Band" and whats his face are the best you have, you young lady are in for a sound thrashing. Boy its a good thing you cant hear me right now cause my R's are rolling like a freight train!

this is going to end in tears - australia vs. new zealand style. people get hurt. accents are mocked. russell crowe finds no-one wants him after all.
